Meet the Guides

Northern Rivers Outfitters has 5+ Federal Permits for our guides to access premier fishing waters not accessible without these permits. All our guides are federally and state licensed and insured as well as the majority of our guides having their US Coast Guards Captains Licensing. If there is specific guide you would like to fish with please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Kameron Zemites (Owner)

Captain Kameron Zemites (Owner) has been guiding since 2013. Since he started his guiding career he spent May- early September guiding in King Salmon, Alaska, and then guided on the northern rivers in Michigan the remainder of the year. Now that he is starting NRO, he will most likely stay home in MI to guide here and support the business year round. Kameron also is one of the guides for Oak Heart Lodge, a Fishing with Veterans program. He is planning to stay active with the Fishing with Veterans program!

Leo Cook

Leo started fishing the Pere Marquette when he was 8 years old. He has built up a tremendous bucket of knowledge on how to target the varying Michigan species across these rivers.

Justin Atkinson

Justin is one of our Muskegon River Guides. He is fortunate enough to actually live directly on the river and keeps an eagle eye for us on on how the fishing is trending. Justin also guides in King Salmon, Alaska with Kameron at Naknek River Camp. Make sure to ask him about ferret hunting!

Rod Baker

Rod has over 35 years of guiding experience!
Rod was raised in a small, rural community enjoying fishing and hunting. Growing up, he spent many days in, on, or around the water- so it was only natural for him to pursue a career as an adult guiding. "I’ve fished the White, Muskegon, and Manistee Rivers. But the Pere Marquette is my favorite. Being a resident of Baldwin, and living near the Pere Marquette, has afforded me the opportunity to fish this wonderful river extensively and I invite you to come and do the same."

Phil Wright

I learned how to first fish for blue gill and slowly start learning how to fish for other types. As I started learning how to fish more kinds of fish, I found my true love for salmon, steelhead and Coho. I love chasing them in many different rivers. I have been fishing for salmon for over 19 years and have taught a lot of people how to fish for these amazing fish! At this point in my fishing career, I obviously still love landing my own salmon. Honestly, though, what I love most is seeing people smile as they get their first salmon or their 100th salmon!

Andy Eberhard

After 30 years of traveling north to fish many northern Michigan rivers, Andy has found himself living in Baldwin near the world famous Pere Marquette River. His love for the river and passion for fishing are only surpassed by his desire to give his guests a great experience.

Chris Porter

Chris grew up in Ludington and has superior knowledge of these northern MI rivers. He actively participates in many fishing tournaments on the rivers. Chris also guides Lake MI charters!
