Pere Marquette fly fishing river update 4/11/26:
Fishing has been great the last couple days, lots of fish throughout the river. In the fly water, fry patterns and egg patterns have worked well. Look for gravel or dark water in between. Water levels are still on the high side so be careful when wading. We went mid-river today and floated some beads and the action was stellar. Ive got my favorites but really anything on the chartreuse was on fire today. If you know where the gravel sections are you should be able to find the fish. Of course mid river is pretty dirty but the fish don’t seem to mind it. Those fat brown trout are on the prowl for a tasty meal and are pound for pound with they fights they give as well as the steelhead.
